Corid is a medication that treats and prevents bovine cocciodiosis, also known as bloody scours, in calves. It contains amprolium, a coccidiostat that works by stopping coccidia in the small intestine. Corid can be administered in drinking water, as a drench, or in-feed

How to use
|
Mix with drinking water daily. For a 5-day treatment, add 16 fl oz of Corid to 100 gal of water. For 21-day prevention, add 8 fl oz of Corid to 100 gal of water.

Dosage
|
10 mg of amprolium per kg of body weight for a 5-day treatment, and 5 mg per kg for 21-day prevention

Safety
|
Withdraw calves from Corid 24 hours before slaughter. Do not use on calves to be processed for veal.

Storage
|
Store between 41°–77° F (5°–25° C).

You should read the packaging for instructions before using Corid. A veterinarian may recommend using Vitamin B1 (thiamine) with amprolium.
